A key moment for Project Orpheus will be our colourful, mystical and community led, Puppet Parade, which will encourage every facet of the community to join in and take over the Abbey Grounds with colour, magic and hope.
We are super excited to be engaging with professional spectacle theatre artists who have crafted sensational puppets for us to share Orpheus with the world.
However, we truly believe that this parade needs a little extra magic and that’s the creativity of our young people. We have begun bringing professional craft artists to many local schools to help inspire, guide and support each child in crafting their very own Orpheus-inspired puppet.
These sessions encourage creative thinking and innovation, allowing every child the chance to showcase their final creation on Orpheus Day as they join Orpheus and his parade of puppets.
