With his enchanting Lyre, Orpheus had animals, beasts and even the rocks and stones themselves transfixed and charmed. We have no doubt that the sweet voices of our young people will do the same for the community of Cirencester and that’s why we have been offering singing workshops for schools throughout the area.
Together, the children learn a section of the newly commissioned piece, “A Song for Orpheus” written by BRIT, Emmy and BAFTA award winning composer, Howard Goodall, with lyrics penned by the exceptional Irish poet, Theo Dorgan. As well as this, they’ll be taught some invaluable tips and tricks in how to sing, to ensure they’re using the voices to the best of their ability.
